With each new year, new faces emerge in the EU Bubble. On 1 January, Croatia, the member state that has joined the Union most recently, holds the presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU), thereby completing the trio it has formed with Romania and Finland.
For the next six months, under the motto – A strong Europe in a world of challenges – Croatia will lead the legislative work of the European Union around the four pillars of its presidency programme:
Among the milestones ahead is Brexit on 31 January 2020.
Meanwhile, logos has updated its organisational charts of the EU leadership. They include all the members of the Croatian government who will be chairing the different Council meetings and the relevant members of the Permanent representation who will be leading the technical negotiations ahead of Council meetings. logos has also considered the latest changes in the composition of the Commissioners’ teams. Outstanding nominations include the three Directors-General for Internal Market, FISMA, and Structural Reform Support.
