Promoting the EU Space programme with the EU Global Action on Space

Communicating the EU Global Action on Space meant promoting the EU Space programme outside the EU and encouraging EU and non-EU companies to collaborate. How did we manage to do so for three years? Our communications team worked tirelessly alongside public affairs colleagues and MCI Brussels event experts to make it a reality.

Part of a consortium, logos was tasked to communicate the EU Global Action on Space, a multiannual project by the European Commission. Made of different workstreams, from Space Diplomacy, Market Reports, Business Coaching – including Communications – the initiative was born from the idea that international collaboration using EU space-based data and services should be encouraged.

challenges
  • Communicate the potential arising from the EU Space programme and its components (Copernicus, Galileo and EGNOS) to both an EU and non-EU private sector to foster collaboration.
  • Develop sharp and tailored messaging around the use of EU space data and services according to the target country, continent and domain of applications, from agriculture to broadband and many more.
  • Promote the events we organised around the world to industry experts, policymakers and scientists while bringing value to the community.
solutions

logos tapped into its expertise in communications to implement a strategy unfolding via organic and paid social media campaigns (Facebook, X, LinkedIn and YouTube), partnerships with specialised media, tailored website copywriting and the creation of a dedicated podcast.

Our vertical expertise in policy communications in the field of space – combined with our public affairs logos colleagues and consortium partners’ – helped our team understand what, and how to better communicate in order to have an impact on an audience thousands of kilometres away. To close the gap, digitally.
