The Role
logos public affairs is looking to recruit a Senior Consultant to join its flagship Defence, Space & Aviation (DSA) practice. The senior consultant will join a growing team of policy experts working with high-profile clients from the industry on topics related to defence, space and aviation.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the company’s management, this senior position will concentrate on leading client-related advocacy and engagement activities, contributing to clients’ advocacy strategy definition and execution, and supporting business development efforts. The Senior Consultant will be part of a team responsible for the quality delivery, growth and expansion of products and services within the corporate & association client portfolio assigned. You will be an integral member of the account management team.
Your Day-to-Day tasks
- Special focus on defence and space policy:
- Leading client work-streams and overseeing more junior colleagues
- Drafting policy briefings and public affairs strategy documents
- Implementing client strategies and directly liaising with clients
- Building and managing a network of contacts with relevance to the defence and space domains
- Attending key policy events and gathering insights
- Contributing to the two flagship conferences: European Space Conference and European Defence and Security Conference (e.g. partnership management, programme development, facilitate high-level engagement, etc.)
- Contribute to client meetings and project management;
- Conduct research on various topics and analyse the impact on clients’ business;
- Intelligence gathering, monitoring, policy and position paper drafting, etc.
- Support business development and marketing strategy;
- Working closely with communication colleagues on delivering policy events;
The successful candidate
- Has 4-5 years of relevant experience, previous consultancy experience a distinct advantage
- Has excellent writing and oral communication in English (native or equivalent). Other EU language(s) is/are a plus
- Has Project Management skills: time management, process-oriented, attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines, understanding client requests and supplier needs
- Has a good understanding of EU decision-making process, with previous experience in defence and/or space policy and advocacy at EU level a distinct advantage
- Has entrepreneurial spirit and understanding of the factors involved in client decision-making processes for consultancy services
- Has ability to present complex technical matters in a simple way and to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Has ability to work individually, as well as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Is eligible to work in the EU
- Is available to join the team rapidly (starting date in February 2026)
