logos is proud to have contributed to the success of the first edition of the IRU World Congress 2018 in Muscat, Oman. logos supported IRU in developing the programme of the conference as well as organising a ministerial dialogue between representatives from the public and private sectors.

During the closing plenary, Umberto de Pretto, IRU Secretary General, congratulated the team for providing the richest programme the organisation ever showcased. Journalists John Defterios (CNN) and Jorn Madslien (former BBC) also stated that the Congress had the richest programme they had ever seen in any event.

On 7-8 November 2018, the congress saw the participation of leading representatives from the public and private sectors. Among them, one can list José Manuel Barroso, Chairman of Goldman Sachs International and former European Commission President, Joachim Drees, CEO of MAN, Pierre Lahutte, CEO of IVEC, E. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications, Oman, John Defterios, journalist, CNN, and many others (see full list of speakers’ lineup here).

Our contribution was highly valued by congress participants, the IRU and its executive team. We have high hopes to win a new mandate to support the organisation of the next edition in 2020.

• 80+ speakers from public authorities, international organisations and private sectors from the GCC regions, Europe, Africa, and Asia. 30 ministerial delegations participated in an open dialogue with CEOs

Opening plenary was attended by the royal family and was aired live on national Omani television.
