‘’We, The Riders”: FIM calls for greater visibility for motorcyclists

In August 2018, bikers from all over the world started joining the world wide campaign “We, The Riders launched by one of our first clients – the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM).  The campaign, launched at the Austrian round of MotoGP, is a new initiative by responsible motorcyclists who share the joy of riding motorcycles and are adamant about the need for safer roads.

On 10 October 2018 the campaign was officially launched in Brussels. At FIM‘s Annual Policy Debate ‘Riders & Drivers: Fighting Invisibility Together’, organised with the support of the Logos Public Affairs team, policy makers, industry representatives and members of the motorcycling community were presented with FIM’s vision for roads built and planned with all users in mind. The event was co-hosted by MEP Wim van de Camp, EPP Coordinator of TRAN Committee and MEP Karima Delli, TRAN Committee Chair.

The focus of the “We The Riders” campaign is “visibility” – i.e.  the need for riders not only to be seen in traffic  but also to be borne in mind by decision makers as motorcyclists are often overlooked.  The FIM stands by the riders who take their responsibility and, together, we are all demanding that everyone else takes theirs. Partners of the campaign include Dorna, the Red Bull Ring circuit, ACEM, and many MotoGP stars.

The campaign was also endorsed by  the European Commissioner for Transport Mrs Violeta Bulc and Mr Jean Todt, President of the FIA and UN Special Ambassador for Road Safety. This campaign is a contribution by the FIM to the United Nations Decade of Action.
